Unknown tag error from custom error page
Bit of a weird one this… I have my 404 error pages etc all working nicely (v4.0.2, thanks for putting those in) and they work fine, to a point.
I’ve searched all over for an answer but it seems the search function on punBB is not “all that”.
The problem is this; the pages are generated fine when a ‘fully’ bogus URL is entered:
URL: mydomain.com/pork
gives
normal page, with 404 error etc.
but when I put in a semi-legitimate url, or one that has any subdirectories in there implicitly:
URL: mydomain.com/pork/blah or
URL: mydomain.com/portfolio/nonsense (legit first part of URL)
I get the 404, but with a whacking great error on there too: Warning: Unknown tag in /home/ … /www/html/textpattern/publish.php on line 888
No debug information is provided in the source, despite debugging being enabled, and the page does not tell me what the illegal tag is, so what the hell am i supposed to do about this?
TIA

Have I not made this clear or does nobody else have this error or know what I’m talking about??

Re: Unknown tag error from custom error page
That may be because no-one else has seen this. I know I haven’t. Anyway setting your site to “Live” will probably remove it and it is only a “warning”.

Re: Unknown tag error from custom error page
Have you customized your error-page? If yes, it may be due to the tags you are using there.
If not, you will have to give us a more detailed description of how to reproduce the problem, to be able to help you.

Re: Unknown tag error from custom error page
I’ve only customised the error page insofar as I have changed the html a little and added a section list.
Also I have hard coded my screen stylesheet into a site header form as described by your good selves here
Other than that everything is the same as the other pages which have no issues.
I have tried putting a stylesheet against a fresh install in the same manner as described in the topic linked to above – interestingly it ‘sort of’ does it there too. If I point to domain.com/legit_section/nonsense_here I can see the stylesheet has been applied – if I type domain.com/nonsense_here however it does not.
I will email you some links, I didn’t want to put the domain here publicly cos it’s not finished and it’s my first time with txp so could be blushes…!
