Is my Textpattern site being used by a spammer?
I am getting hundreds of e-mail messages with the following text in the body:
X-Mailer: Textpattern
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=“UTF-8”
I am just wondering if my Textpattern site is being misused in any way. Is there a way to stop these mails? (I can send the source code of a mail if required. Doesn’t seem a wise idea to post it here.).
Hope you can help me out!

do you have the “Mail comments to author” option to yes? Maybe select the ‘no’ button and see what happens

Yes please. Use email if you like.
Do the number and timestamps of the messages correspond to comments?

It seems the messages are unrelated to comments or articles. Zem, I have sent you an e-mail with two samples of the source code.

Zem found the problem. Thanks again, Zem. It was caused by the plug-in “dca_mailto_form”. I disabled it and installed “zem_contact” instead. Highly recommended!
This issue is now resolved.
