Quick "crockery" question.
With all this work going on in “crockery” for different db types, when it eventually all comes to fruition, is it going to be a separate download or are we going to be able to select our favourite db flavour from a single download?
Also, as most of the current work is being done in “crockery”, are we likely to see much new or impoved stuff in the current main branch or is this confined mostly to bug squishing?

Re: Quick "crockery" question.
The 4.0.x branch is mostly down to bug squishing now, we’re starting to concentrate our efforts on crockery (i.e. 4.1).
Current plan is for it to be a single download with DB engine selection at install time. MySQL will still be the recommended default, and it’s possible that some (or all) of the other DB engines will be considered unsupported.
Of course, this being an experimental branch, anything could happen.
