A <div> that came out of nowhere

Hello,

I’ve been working on my own theme but I seem to have some problems with the comment_display Form. When I write a comment and get the preview of it, the Article is shown below the comment_form Form along with any previous comments. The problem is that TextPattern has added a (/div) at the hidden input-field and the (/form) which seems to mess with my design.

Also, I do not like that TextPattern adds a lot of (div)(/div) around my comments and wherever it sees it fit as long as I have turned off textile (I prefer writing my posts using HTML). I turned off the ordered list in the admin. preferences which wraps all comments in (div) instead of (ul). I later hacked TextPattern to not wrap the comments with (div) at all. I believe we should have a Ordered List, Div and Nothing choice in the admin. pref.

I’ve checked and double checked my template and the (/div) behind the hidden input field and end of form-tag came out of nowhere. Anyone else had this problem?

Re: A <div> that came out of nowhere

I can’t reprdouce the problem. I need more detail. At least the exact html-code.
Also: Is it just a closing div with no corresponding opening div – or is it that something is wrapped inside a div-block?

Also, I do not like that TextPattern adds a lot of (div)(/div) around my comments and wherever it sees it fit […] I believe we should have a Ordered List, Div and Nothing choice in the admin. pref.

That would be a feature request. Also see the note for making feature requests, please.

btw: In case you missed it, read this: http://textpattern.com/weblog/127/customizing-previews-for-commenting-in-the-upcoming-402 for some hints on how you can cistomize previews.

Re: A <div> that came out of nowhere

I just took a closer look at Textile and I have only one word: wow!

Guess I’ll be using Textile for all it’s worth for this project. ^^ It wouldn’t work very well in my other project though: http://keikenti.net/meow/ because of the way I wrap my pictures. Unless I somehow turned span-tags into blocks that is. But way too much work to change the website now.
