Change the layout of Txp.

Hi

I’m a bit new to TXP and I have a question.
Can I change the layout of the TXP admin?

I want to control the elements in the layout to my specific needs. For example, when someone logs on to my TXP I want the config to show two main menu items: Write a new article and Browse articles. All other options should be in a secondary menu.

Cheers.

Edit: Sorry. I ment changing the layout of the admin-area.

Re: Change the layout of Txp.

All is in the presentation tab.
You’ll have use XHTML / txp tags (in “Pages” and “Forms” tabs) and CSS.

Edit : well, I think you (and I, then) made a mistake. You talk about “frontend”, and then about “login” and backend items…

…show two main menu items: Write a new article…

That wouldn’t be frontend (public), that would be backend (private). Which do you mean? Have you tried a demo of Textpattern?

Alpha,
It’s not presently available.
I am requesting a plugin that would allow for some manipulation (hiding) of certain admin fields in the write tab, that allows for customization for the customer, but for the most part, what you see is what you get, unless you are one of the great coder gods, then you can probably manipulate to your hearts content – albeit at your own risk.

If your interested

Thanks.
I was afraid that this was the case.

Not needed. Basic PHP and/or javascript skills are necessary to edit it. The code is not that complicated.
