Re: pr.ag.ma

nice.
I would consider keeping your mac articles, or others to a limit=“2” or something like that, with an article list in a sidebar?
I wanted to see what you wrote about with the mac tutorials, but it got to be a bit much to keep scrolling through.

I like the softness of the site, but I wonder if some of the text is just a bit light? It’s often considered poor accessability to have text and background colors too close? For what its worth.

Well done though.
I think you’ll find textpattern perfect for this site.

Re: pr.ag.ma

I’m not quite sure if it’s about time to produce sites which definitely require a 1024 px wide browser window to avoid horizontal scrolling. The sites for which I am able to diagnose visitors screen resolution show: Quite a bit of them is still using smaller screens. Not even to mention mobile devices like PSP or smartphones (which may or may not be a concern for you).

I’d consider reducing #mainbar h1 font-size by a notch as it seems to overwhelm the article body text a little bit. You might also try switching from absolutely specified font-sizes (nn px) to em based sizes…

Otherwise: Good content and a gentle colour scheme, smooth apperance.

Yes I still get a lot of visitors at 800×600. I don’t bother setting up for 640 anymore. I was quite surprised that it wasn’t flexible. It’s eactly the type of style that would be well suited.

Re: pr.ag.ma

ma_smith: thanks for your comments, everything at the moment is still something of a work in progress and i’m grateful for your input. The article list is something I’m trying to get working (and having lots of fun on the learning curve at the same time :)) I can’t take credit for the theme, that was a download from Textgarden, though I am in the process of modifying it. I take your point about the limited number of articles, that’s something that will come soon.

wet: thanks for your comments, I agree the text needs changing by a point or two :)
