Not receiving comment emails
First, I have read the FAQ. :)
I have verified with my host that the php mail function and sendmail are both working properly. (I have used the php mail function with other scripts without issue). Yet I still do not receive comment emails, whether comment moderation is turned on or off.
Is there anything I can do to try and fix this?

Do you have a contact form? zem_contact maybe? If so is that working? I would check that to see if that is working as well. It may give a hint about what is going on.

Thanks for that suggestion.
It turned out that the zem_contact form did not work when I put in the same email address that I had listed in the Admin section of TXP, which is a username associated with my site’s domain name, e.g., user@mysite.com where my TXP install is at mysite.com.
So, neither worked. I then changed the zem_contact form to send the email to a gmail account and lo and behold, it worked. So, I went in to my admin area and changed my admin email to my gmail account and now comment emails are sent and received.
For some reason it was blocking emails sent to an email on my domain. I guess my host’s spamassassin or whatever blocks emails sent from localhost to localhost?

Me too: I am receiving an alert email but WITHOUT the content of the comment posted.
Why?
If destiny is against us, just too bad for it!

View the original message source, if you can. Perhaps there’s something in there that your email program is simply choosing not to display for some reason.
