Another Big Blog Migrates
Hey folks—
Just wanted to let you know that Technosailor is now in the Textpattern house. It started here a year and a half ago and then I moved to WordPress which I’ve been happy with. I’ve been toying with the idea of moving back though and today forced my hand. I’m in the WordPress 1.6 testing group and today’s build broke my blog. Not sure why…can’t get far enough to figure it out.
So my hand was forced today and I made the move back to Textpattern. The migration is not complete. There were WP plugins that I relied on that don’t exist in the Textpattern world and, though I’d like to say I’ll rewrite plugins for Textpattern, work and writing a book on blogging is keeping me way too busy. So we’ll have to see where the dust settles.
If anyone is looking to help in any way, I’ve got a couple decent size plugins I need written. :D PRetty please?
But anyways. I plan to continue to stay actively part of the WP growth and testing, submitting patches when I can and running the thing through the mish-mash. But on a development blog, not on one the size of Technosailor.
So wanted to tip my hat and let you know I’ve made it full circle.

I might look into that trackback plugin after I get some of the other issues resolved. Thanks. The entry you commented on was posted, ironically, before I moved back to Txp. It was only 2 days ago but I was still weighing a move then… I’ve got much bigger issues right now… :|

A tag plugin along the lines of Ultimate Tag Warrior, an AJAX-enabled poll similar to Democracy and a recent comments plugin that groups comments by discussion…
