Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
How do I go in and edit this menu?
hope for the future
meaningful labor
reciprocal affection
I’d like to replace the;
option value=”“
with
option value=”——————”
so that I will have…
——-
hope for the future
meaningful albor
reciprocal affection
Thanks.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
Look in your page template for the tag popup.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
I see that, but there has to be a .php page that has the menu being calle dot it or a page that has the actual code on there so I can get rid of the empty option value that is currently in there. What you’ve given me is helpful, but doesn’t really tell me what I need or want.
I want to fill in the empty option area, there has to be some file in the software that has this code in it.

Edit: don’t take that as offered with ‘an attitude’, that’s not intended.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
Well I can see where this is going. I’ll look around elsewhere for help, like say, a middle school where the response would probably be a lot warmer than it is up there in the North Pole.
Please disregard and delete this thread. Thx.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
Edit: I don’t think you can edit that particular bit. A search for popup() tell me it’s on line 390 of taghandlers.php. Is that what you’re after?
Edit again: Sorry, didn’t mean to sound “in-your-face”.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
tlibby,
You can place the txp:popup tag on your page, then view the source, and from there copy the html code. Replace the txp:popup tag with this code and you can change the first empty option value.
The disadvantage of this is that you’ll have to edit it manually every time you add a category.

Re: Browse Catgeories Drop-Down Menu
For any future reference by anyone else, it is in the taghandlers.php file, line 405;
$thetable = ($type=='s') ? 'section' : 'category';
$out ='<select name="'.$type.'" onchange="submit(this.form)">'.n.
t.'<option value="">----------------</option>'.n;
$q[] = "select name,title from `".PFX."txp_".$thetable."` where name != 'default'";
$q[] = ($thetable=='category') ? "and type='article'" : '';
$q[] = "order by name";
(Edit: wrapped code in appropriate tag so it display properly and doesn’t mess up the page. :) -Mary)
