Disappearing Text
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I’ve just set up a new site using TxP and I’m in the process of testing it by adding several test articles.
The problem I have is that long articles seem to get cut down, as if there is a word limit on the length of an article. Is there, by default, a limit to how long an article can be? If so, how do I change this limit? (Maybe there is another explanation … any ideas?)
I also noticed a similar problem when I test out the comments system. I posted quite a lengthy comment, then logged in to approve it and make it visible. When I did so, most of the comment disappeared.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers
David

About 16 Mb. 64 Kb for comments.
I posted quite a lengthy comment, then logged in to approve it and make it visible. When I did so, most of the comment disappeared.
Does this mean that the complete comment was visible in the content > comments textarea before you checked the Visible box and saved?

Re: Disappearing Text
Alex,
Thanks for getting back to me.
To answer your question, the complete comment was visible initially, but when I checked visible and saved it again it was seriously cut down … in one case, only the first 6 characters remained.
The good news is that I discovered I was not using the most up to date version of TxP and, after upgrading, everyhing seems to be working fine again. I will, however, keep my eyes open for further instances of this problem and will let you know if it happens again.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Kind regards
