javascript warning on "save" article

I would like some help creating a javascript warning for articles that are being overwritten. I have a client who will be regularly overwriting articles and saving as new “per Mary’s plugin, but I am afraid that they will inadvertantly overwrite the other articles on occasion. Any Ideas?
