ZenPhoto AJAX photo gallery
There’s this brand new PHP/MySQL photo gallery that’s just been released called zenphoto
It’s very lightweight and it has AJAX admin-editing features (a la Flickr).
Check it out and can someone look into TXP integration (someone has already done WP integration…). Also, it has themes that are really easy to use.
Edit: Just went to photostack.org and saw that PhotoStack 3 will be out within a week…

Zenphoto is nice. The new Photostack also looks nice. It will be released this week :)

Jeremie, it only has tables for the comments and the templates are really easy to change. Download it and take a look. Whether one should use tables for comments is still pretty hotly debated…

Also, it has a very simple theme system…

Thanks for the tip ! ZenPhoto seems nice and I like the AJAX thing, but I think PixelPost (not cited very often) is the way to go, more flexible IMHO…
I am waiting for the new Photostack though… some nice features improvements coming :-)

PixelPost looks more like a “photoblogging” application rather than a “photo gallery” application (like ZenPhoto and Photostack). I think that these programs are different and serve different people.

Well hum, pixelpost does nothing that ZenPhoto can’t do, since you can comment photos. The thing is it does not have plugins yet so you don“t have a rating system which is nice with PixelPost…
Anyway, ZenPhoto seems well built, maybe better than PixelPost, I might take back what I said.
Anyway, if PhotoStack is out as predicted, I’ll choose it over those :-)
Or I’ll use EE’s gallery features which are truly powerful…

There is another open source gallery that is soon-to-be-released called <a href=“http://www.plogger.org”>Plogger</a>
Haven’t used it myself, but I am eager to get my hands on the new incarnation. Does anyone have any experience with the old version?
