Re: Lumilux
It’s very well layed out and the type treatment is excellent. I’m only worried about the implementation of the archives as it would need to be easy to go from one image to the next.

Re: Lumilux
Congratulations on getting the site off the ground, Hans. It’s really nice, and I’m looking to see more photos there.
One little problem: I tend to surf with fonts enlarged one or two clicks, and the footer bar of your “about” page ends up falling right in the middle of your last couple of sentences. I’m using Safari 2.0.1 on Tiger.

Re: Lumilux
Nice one Hans!
Only a minor problem on FF Win (blue link line, probably due to text-intent) and IE6 (when mouse is over those links), check out this screen grab (above is FF, below is IE “hover” state). Hope this helps. :)
What’s the name of that little cute font you used for your footer?

Damn.
Hans, I am so hot for you right now.
By the by, here’s a gallery of screenshots, including verious versions of IE. Not too bad in IE6, 5.0 and 5.5 have some issues.
You cooin’ with my bird?

Re: Lumilux
Oh my, I’ll have to get fixin’. I’ve seen that Firefox line before, but oh Lord, what’s going on with IE?! Safari was a tough nut to crack, and Opera was being a real pain in the ass, but I had an “aha!” moment today…
schussat: don’t worry, I have a solution up my sleeve. I just wanted to get this done to a certain extent. At least there are no fundamental problems on OS X browsers. —except for text-resizing.—
Also, before anyone has a chance to say it, the next/prev arrows (coming tomorrow) are a rather tiny target to click— I’ll be working on enlarging that clickable area.

Perhaps I should add this to my about page… The archives will only ever show the last 36 photos. If you wish to go through every single photo, you can use the next/previous buttons on the front page, which will appear tomorrow when I post another photo.

I believe it’s something like 04b_03, you can find it here (free).
Thanks for the kind words. Right now I’m busy shooting some lettuce. Multi-colored lettuce.

Re: Lumilux
Hans that’s a very nice design but…..
I’m using FF1.0.6 and that small text next to the Lumilux title and the text in the footer, well, I need binoculars to read it. Also, on the About page the footer has moved up and wiped out the third paragraph. :(

Re: Lumilux
thebombsite, try it now. The footer should expand/contract with the text size.
Anyone have ideas on how to fix those IE bugs? The height of the footer seems to be doubling; why?

That’s better. :) Now if you can recommend a good pair of binoculars……

Blimey Hans, “special order”. I don’t think I even want to know how much they are. :)
I’m not seeing a problem in IE6.
