on_this_day (plugin?)

Brad Choate developed an on_this_day plugin for MT. I’ve noticed this php version for Wordpress. Does anything similar exist for Textpattern?

In my sidebar, I’d like a section with a heading of ON THIS DAY followed by links as follows:

Last Week
Last Month
Last Year
2003
2002

Each year, it should properly update to include the new links. Clicking on any link produces a page showing any entry in your weblog that was written on that date.

Re: on_this_day (plugin?)

I’ve moved this topic to the right forum. :) I don’t think there is one available yet, but I don’t know for certain.

Re: on_this_day (plugin?)

Seems like an interesting idea. Quite possibly something that, given some time, I would be interested in developing. This being said, I think that if I worked on it, I could get a preliminary version out within 2 weeks (although probably less). That is, unless someone else picks this up before I do…

Re: on_this_day (plugin?)

Just to let you know, I am working on developing this plugin, and so far it’s going well. I’m trying to make it as robust as possible to appeal to as many folk as possible right off the bat.

I’d say give me another week or so, and it should be done. Still trying to work out some bugs and what not (bah, I’m so bad with MySQL Datetime functions, although I suppose this way I’ll learn), so yeah.

Just figured I’d give you an update…
