Re: basic blog stats plugin
Thanks,
I was looking into writing my own plugin to get this functionality. It works for me just fine once I remembered to make the plugin active.

Re: basic blog stats plugin
This looks like a cool plug-in. Seeing as though this is the first one I’m trying out… what is the exact tag I use to stick it in the page? Heh…
Sorry for the n00b question.

Re: basic blog stats plugin
Alright. Easy enough… :P
Well how about this for another feature: A comments to posts ratio, just for kicks? It would probably be very easy to implement… just some division.
It would, though, be cool to select a certain section for stats… because my problem is I use articles to post links (that’s just the way I do it, and not too uncommon) but it includes the links in the articles. I don’t know if there is a workaround or not, but just a thought.

Re: basic blog stats plugin
I love this plugin!
The “top commenters” bit doesn’t seem to work for me, however. I’m on RC3, and the very latest SVN update – so it’s likely something in the code has changed.
I’m content with the first two portions of the plugin, but I thought I’d mention that something has apparently changed.
Thanks again!

Jennifer:
I’ve noticed the same thing – on upgrade to RC3 the list of top commenters stopped working. I know nothing about PHP, so am having difficulties figuring out what went wrong.
Are there any other similar stats plugins about?

Re: basic blog stats plugin
I just did a fresh install and discovered that the link is broken to download this. :(

Re: basic blog stats plugin
would be interesting to see if you could add:
total # of words written overall for all posts
total # of per words per post
