Plugin developers: get on the txp-dev list
We’re gearing up to release 4.0.1, and I want to make sure that everyone developing plugins has a chance to test their wares before we ship. Best way to ensure this is to join the txpdev mailing list if you haven’t already.

While the mailing-lists are mentioned: There is also a txp-plugin-list where I think would be a good place for plugin developers to exchange ideas and questions – given that in this forum we have mostly plugin-users and developer oriented stuff sometimes gets drowned in the plugin-support topics.

Let me express my appreciation for all the effort you guys have put in towards communication since the release of 4.0. I know you are all busy but additions like the weblog, and these mailing lists have gone above and beyond addressing any issues I used to have in that regard. This has kept my love affair with Textpattern going strong.
Thank you again for all your time and effort in giving us an amazing tool.

txpdev is a ghost town of a mailing list right now. Is the plan to make it more active? Or have I been subscribing to the wrong list all this time.

I am bumping this.
Important: We want to release 4.0.1 really soon, and it is important that plugin developers can make sure that none of the changes affect their plugins. I posted a message to the list already.
The messages to the list can also be read from the archives of the mailing-list, once you sign up.

4.0.2 is in the pipe. So we would appreciate it, if plugin developers got on any or both of the two lists to discuss potential problems that could arise with their plugins when going from 4.0.1 to the current svn version. It’s still possible to fix things, though we can’t fix what we don’t know about. ;)
Check out a current svn-version from development/4.0 and test your plugins against it please. And join the discussion.

By the way, can’t send commands by email (it don’t like it); and can’t log in on the web: “txp-plugins roster authentication failed.”.

Hi Jeremie,
maybe you have used the wrong mail-address, or if you copy and paste your password you accidently have a space in front of or behind your password. That would explain the error. It works for me and others currently.
