[request] XStandard Lite
I would like a plugin to integrate XStandard into textpattern as disscussed here There is an XStandard Lite which is free.
It probably is only needed for the write tab’s body and possibly excerpt textareas.

Re: [request] XStandard Lite
is there a particular attraction to XStandard for you? one of it’s drawbacks is that it’s not mac friendly.
I agree and would like to see a stable WYSIWYG editor option/plugin, but fckeditor and tinymce seem to be (somewhat) lighter & are both open source (and both seem to have some momentum).
there was also a plugin/hack a while back which added simple javascript textile shortcuts (kind of like bbcode buttons) you may want to search for

Re: [request] XStandard Lite
XStandard has much cleaner code output than the 2 you mentioned, it produces valid xhtml 1.1. I have used tinyMCE and haven’t really been happy with it.
I am not really concerned about being mac friendly at the moment as I have a controlled group of users who would be using the admin.

Re: [request] XStandard Lite
I’ve tried and tried to wrap my head around how to implement this into Textpattern and I think I’m missing something.
Has anybody attempted this or can you point me in some direction instead of the circles I’m spinning?
Thanks.
