< txp:category1 link="n" / > still gives me a link
<code><txp:category1 link=“n” /></code> still gives me a link to that category, while <code>link=“n”</code> schould cause that it only outputs the category name, without the link.
Maybe its not a bug, but it doesn’t work here. TXP 4.0.

Joey

I read about that somewhere, it seems that link=“whatever-you-put-here” will give you a link. So if you don’t want one, just leave it out completely.

Try link=“0”; that’ll give you what you want.

Or just don’t supply that parameter at all; the default behaviour is no link created.

i just did this too. the “useful tags” wizard links generate link=“n” and link=“y”.

This sill exists and I still consider it a bug. If the tag generator creates link=“n” and link=“y” it should work as expected.
Not a big problem but a little confusing fo new users.

I’ll double-check the svn version and if it’s not fixed I’ll send in a patch.

At textpattern.net it says to use link=“1” or link=“0” so maybe it is just the built-in tag generator that needs to be changed.
Thanks mary.

That’s correct, the tag generator is what needs fixing. There are several that need to be, in fact.
