rss_suparchive_bycat - exclude a single item from a category?

I am using the rss_suparchive plugin to display a link list of other “product” listings in a given category on the bottom of an individual article page The page serves as an individual product description page. The link list provides similar product choices for someone interested in the product listed on an individual product page as a “you might also like” alternative. The problem with this arrangement is that the individual article link is listed in the rss_suparchive_bycat link list.

What I would like to do is exclude that entry in the list since the site visitor is already on that page. Is this possible? If so, how?

What would it take to modifiy this plugin to support the offset attribute? I don’t know PHP so I don’t know if this is a difficult undertaking or that it can be done easily.
