http://wiki.agitprop.gr/TextPattern/I18nMods

Re: Greek localization

Although I’ve mailed both Dean and Zem with the latest Greek localization file, this wasn’t added to the SVN repository. Am I doing something wrong? Also, is there a way for translators to get limited SVN access to change their contributed files?

Re: Greek localization

Hello guys,

I have just discovered the Greek file – sadly it was not in the standard release. If you want any help with the translation please let me know.

Another question, have the technical Greek localization problems been solved in the core or one has to go about implementing the changes described in the topic for greek localization?

Some off-hand remarks:

stylesheet=φύλλο στυλ

Re: Greek localization

Welcome Spiros! Nice to have you in our community. The greek localization file needs to be updated and it’s my #1 priority right now. You also need to modify a little the TXP source code as described in http://wiki.agitprop.gr/TextPattern/I18nMods. Textpattern is an innovative and flexible CMS, and there’s lots of stuff you can do with it.

Re: Greek localization

Recently i discovered textpattern and today I had a go with it. Since i am no expert in this I need help with Greek.
I ‘ve put some greek text but doesn’t seem to work. I changed the default charset with <meta http-equiv=“content-type” content=“text/html; charset=iso-8859-7” />, and xml:lang=“el” lang=“el” .
I made these changes in the template default.

Is the problem somewhere else ? Could please give me a hand with this.

Many thanks

Why do you want to change the default charset to ISO-8859-7? If you want to use ISO-8859-7 instead of the standard UTF-8, you also have to change the encoding of the Greek language file. However, there’s hardly any reason to go into that kind of trouble, as all modern browsers support Unicode.
