Re: upm_img_popper

ha it’s the arkham monologues here!

the thing that worked was removing this tag from the article:

<code>
<txp:upm_image type=“thumb” image_id=“25” class=“image” />
</code>

Re: upm_img_popper

Okay, that gives me something to go from. How large is that file?

Re: upm_img_popper

The thumbnail image is only 3K

the larger image associated with this thumb is 18K.

I’m sorry… now it’s working just fine even with that same thumb tag. I’m at a loss to explain this one.

I swear there was an issue. I swear.

Everything’s running well now. Thanks for your help (and the plugin) and sorry for the hassle.

Re: upm_img_popper

9 pages… damn!

feature request: clicking ‘article image’ on several images allows you to pop more than one image ID into the article image field

a bit like the file packets plugin… generating “21, 34, 56”

was thinking of using zem_article_image (tho I ain’t installed it) to generate a quick gallery on certain article pages (3 or 4 associated images)

Re: upm_img_popper

sekhu, in the extensions tab you get the preferences for the plugins — one of which is the default value. If you use rss_admin_quikpik you might have to disable that to see the extension tab.

Re: upm_img_popper

This is a great plug-in, very useful for my client who isn’t (and doesn’t need to be) technically minded. I also had a look at your file upload plugin as I thought that might solve my other problem – I need an easy way to link to other pages on my site. Am I missing something very obvious or is it disproportionately difficult to link to another page on my textpattern site?

What would be really good, is if the was a plugin called upm_link_popper… ;-)

I’ve tried looking for other plugins but no one seems to have done this. It’s quite possible that I passed it by though – if anyone has any ideas I’d be grateful to hear them.

Re: upm_img_popper

Well, anyone can use html to make links (or use the <txp:permlink> tag where appropriate), but I’m assuming you mean for the aforementioned client, and from within a post? If that’s the case, zem_link is what you want.

Edit: My “popper” style of plugin isn’t available anywhere I’m aware of, but that’s a good idea, and actually wouldn’t be to difficult to do. The problem is time: recently I got really busy, so I haven’t been able to update or create plugins, which makes me sad. :( Hopefully it will die down shortly. :)

Re: upm_img_popper

Hi Mary and thanks for your prompt response.

I did indeed want my non-technical client to be able to easily create links from within articles. I’m taking a look at zem_link again now (had previously disregarded it as it didn’t seem to offer quite what I needed).

I’d love to see upm_link_popper developed but wouldn’t want that to mean that you’d lost work. :)

Re: upm_img_popper

Mary,

I just got the latest version of TXP (rev 636) and your plugin no longer shows up on the write tab … could there be a conflict in the lastest build?
