Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
Agreed, both of these issues could be addressed more effectively, but let’s discuss these issues in the wiki rather than here. See the Community portal pages; probably the Wiki Organization page is most appropriate. Yes, in fact, there is a Wiki Navigation topic already started. And behold, Wiki Formatting too.

Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
Shit, I guess I fell asleep partway through the user accounts page.
“ Now that TextBook support multilanguages, and now that each language has a representative Language “Go-Tos” (LGTs) to coordinate individual translation efforts, it is necessary to address the appropriate person for establishing user accounts (assumingly not everyone will read/write English). Notify the appropriate LGT for the language you would like to establish an account for, if one exists (see list at Language “Go-Tos” (LGTs)). If no LGT exists for the language you need…”
which is kind of why I wanted to help in the first place. I guess I’ll go fill out forms in triplicate or something!

Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
Come on Daragh, it’s not that complicated !
If you want to contribute to the english writing effort, mail Destry, if it’s for french, just mail me :)
Now was that very complicated ?
I guess we could add the list of LGT on the users account page, might make it clearer…

Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
Daragh…I assumed you wanted to help with English contributions. Great. I can easily create an account for you, but I need an email address from you first; it’s required for the account, which is what I was hoping you would recognize from the User Account instructions…
- You will need to provide an email address to setup the account. The email will be manually added to your account preferences when your account is created. This enables the wiki system to automagically send you a new password should you forget what your initial password is.
Might I recommend no-doz. (just ribbing you)

Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
Let’s bump this thread, Destry is doing this thing almost by himself these days !
Anyone thinks documentation is important to txp ? Well, I do and I also think that it’s a slight thing to spend some time, we’re all using this great app to no cost, let’s not forget ;-)
COME ON !

Sorry, I’m very busy at the moment. It’s not forgotten but other things have priority right now.

Yeah I understand, I myself have sort of dropped the ball this past three weeks… I just wanted to keep things rolling, for those who would have forgotten ;-)

Re: [wiki] TextBook Wants You !
I allso know that, Davidm, same thing here for me, too busy, plus I am working still on my Site and that gives me the chance first of all to gain the necessary skills and knolledge needed before I publish out some nonesense out there at Textbook.(And I don’t want that since Textbook is an valuable Tool for myself)
But I am getting closer and I promise to help to make Textbook a complete Documentation.
But allso consider, that Textpettern is a mysterious Beast and is moving ahead while Textbook becomes outdated,so there is no so much need for hurry anyway.
I allso want to Thank Destry and you for all the valuable help that you offer to the community.(It is often not payd back, documentation and translation in open source is often like the last band waggoon)
The good thing is,you gain the experience.
with best regrds, marios
