Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Hello, I have this plugin installed and working — but all I get is the first pulldown. Then no more pulldowns appear. Any ideas? I am running 4.0.6. I tried disabling wet_peex and wet_quicklink. That didn’t work, either. Thanks for any advice. I have the permissions issue fixed. Everything works, except the pulldown menu functionality. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Indeed I did. I went to the extensions panel and activated them. Is there another step?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Greetings,

My transition to 4.0.6 is not going smoothly. I inserted the line to gain the extension and installed the preferences. Set the default as Xhtml.

What I’m not seeing…
  • The choice between thumbnail and original is missing.
  • The article image no longer pops out of the frame when you hover over it
  • Was it my imagination or did the plugin used to return the full url and not just the number in the article image field?

A plugin conflict? Here are my plugins…
bas_img_sel 0.8
etz_hilite 0.1a
fpx_image_import 0.3
glx_admin_image 2007.1
hcg_templates 0.3
hpw_admincss 0.1
ied_hide_in_admin 0.1.6
lam_browse_by 0.1
rss_admin_db_manager 4.3
rss_suparchive 0.18
rss_unlimited_categories 0.7.4
smd_lib 0.32
smd_slimbox 0.3
stm_article_order 0.2
yab_shop 0.3.0
yab_shop_config 0.3.0
zem_contact_lang 4.0.3.6
zem_contact_reborn 4.0.3.20

Thanks!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Jerry, concerning your first point, I’m not quite sure, how bas_img_selector is designed to work, as I installed only the current beta. But did you try the following: Choose a different image category, choose an image and there they are, the desired radio buttons (at least here). Now you should be able to go back to the previous cat and find them. I admit it’s not what everyone would expect to do, but til an update comes…

Second point: I read about it, yup. Same here. Pity.

Third one: You get full URLs with thumbs, with normal images just plain numbers.

Among the listed plugins here mine, that intersect with yours, so you can try to deactivate those ones first:
hcg_templates 0.3
rss_admin_db_manager 4.3
stm_article_order 0.2

In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Thanks for getting my into the right mindset uli,

I think I figured out the problem with the radio buttons. I think the custom admin stylesheets (via hpw_admincss) hid the buttons.

I turned it off and the radio buttons reappeared.

Thanks for the clarification on points 2 and 3, I appreciate it.

Now if I can fix the admin stylesheets I’ll be happy :0 The skin Jon Hicks created is just too pleasing to toss out the window.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

Do someone have bas_img_sel (v. 0.8) AND aro_myadmin working fine on the same installation?

I’m driving crazy trying to understand WHY the select for images doesn’t appear in the write page, everything else appearing just fine. The select appears again if I disable aro_myadmin. It’s not a css thing, maybe a js hook problem, but I can’t find the solution. Thanks!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

After updating to textpattern 4.2.0 the bas_img_selector tab is missing from Write Tab. Reinstalling plugin does not help.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_img_selector

This plugin should be included in the core.

It’s just pure genius. It makes adding images to the “article image”-field a dream, and is extremly useful for less technical writers.

I know this probably wont be done, but I’m hoping for someone to make it go with 4.2.0. I’m not an experienced coder, but if anyone else love this plugin as much as I do, email me, and maybe it can be done?
