Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

Okay, com_connect it is.

It’s under complete community control on our official textpattern space on GitHub. The main project collaborators and documentation wizards have been granted full access.

If you want to contribute, you can continue to do so via pull requests or if you contribute a lot and would prefer fewer hurdles, just stick your hand up, let us know your git handle and someone will add you as a collaborator.

Enjoy!

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

Yay for “connect” ! Welcome to our com_connect lord.

BTW – Github automatically updated the feed URL (redirect permanent) – and, of course, my feedreader automatically updated its internal reference (as it should, thank you Vienna).

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

?

I’m wondering if with the re-branding, we should go back to version 1… This would signify the official end of zcr.

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

It’s still the same software and still has commit history so the version is fine in my opinion. Plus it’s already been tagged and packaged so reducing version number now might cause issues.

Cheers everyone, this is our first official community plugin! ?

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

I thought about resetting the version number, but since the entire commit history is still in the code, as Phil said, doing so would cause git some head-scratching when the tags suddenly ‘go down’. Better to continue, imo.

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

There is a long tradition – Textpattern started life at version 4. and of course, the whole commit history.

PS – one site at least runs com_connect live. ’twas a 5 minutes upgrade including 3 minutes pondering if I should change the wording of something, mass-find-and-replace the tags and done.

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

Good to hear it was fairly easy to upgrade, thanks for trying it out.

I’ve got one or two things to test yet with regards the 4.7.0 global attributes, as I think I may need to tweak the patch I put in: I have a suspicion it has an adverse effect on labels. There are a couple of issues in the queue about it and I’ll try and do some testing today.

Live site runs TXP 4.6 (form is here), so thats OK. On the basic form on my TXP 4.7 install, things run fine, as far as I can see. But as said, it is basic. Maybe if I have time tomorrow, I’ll try to push things a bit.

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

Was going to put in my vote for comm_connect, for logical reasons already given, so I’ll just say good choice. :)

Re: Rebrand contact form plugin

Welcome com_connect and yes it works here on multiple sites on 4.6.2 already. Thank you for making this up-to-date.
