did we get a definitive resolution to the language hang up?
After updating to 4.6.1 I stuck on the language panel,too.
Will 4.6.2 solve this?
Thanks

Yes. For now, set your production status to Live (possibly via phpMyAdmin) and then log in. That should set you up. While you’re in phpMyAdmin you can also flip the version string to 4.6.1
.
The other thing mrdale talked about was likely just the RPC server choking on the volume of people upgrading at once. We get that at release time, which is a monumental annoyance.The sooner we can lose reliance on that, the better.

Thank you, Stef! The way via phpMyAdmin solved it.
I really appreciate your help!

Unfortunately that is not, but
[type="color"] { vertical-align: middle; }
works. Tested in FF, Safari and Chrome.
OK, done that in 4.6.2 branch – please let me know how that works now.

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern CMS 4.6.1 released
Do the upgrade scripts use the /textpattern/settings directory at all?
I’m not sure I ever read the README upgrade instructions before. Previously, I always removed the setup directory before merging the textpattern directory from the latest version with my existing directory. But I see that the upgrade instructions in the README have that as the last step.

The upgrade process does not interact with the setup
directory. It can (and should) be omitted from the upload. The docs are misleading and I’ll fix them, thanks for the report.
