Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

why can’t you label the category name as what you want to see as the category title?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

Textpattern will use the “name” in the url and automatically puts a dash in between spaces. The “title” is a human readable field for presentation. So one of your Categories might be named “What’s New” obviously you don’t want that in the URL so the name would get transposed to “whats-new”.

It is an advantage of textpattern to be able to have this freedom and would be beneficial if plugins that output “names” for presentational aspects use the “titles” instead.

infusion,
category title may contain non english accentuated characters . Useful for french, german, etc.
In category name, all non english letters are removed.

I just try (and use now) stw_category_tree plugin : since 0.6 release, it display category title.

I’ll look to incorporate the user of the category name instead of title in the next release.

Hopefully you mean allowing for the user-defined category title rather than category name? That would be great.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

A couple things,

I think I found a bug. I am using the tag like so: <code><txp:rss_suparchive_bycat useartcat2=“1” showheader=“1” headerlabel=”<h3>Commentaries written by this expert:</h3>” showcats=“0” /></code> The problem is when I have an article that doesn’t have anything for category2 the div’s output by this plugin are not closed.

Here is the html that is output: <code><div id=“rssCatArchive”> <div id=“rssCatArchiveHeader”><h3>Commentaries written by this expert:</h3></div></code> notice no closing div for id rssCatArchive.

Feature requests:

  1. If there is nothing to output then the header should not output either.
  2. I would like to be able to turn off and unneccessary ids/classes/divs, using the code above I would like to be able to get <code><h3>Commentaries written by this expert:</h3></code> without all the divs and ids.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

it seems that “stycky” articles are not listed under their category. I use
<code><txp:rss_suparchive_bycat showmenu=“1” showjump=“1” jumplabel=“Back to Top” /></code> straight in the article under the write tab…

All works great except for the sticky articles which do not appear at all.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

tinyfly – Are you using the latest version? I thought that was fixed.

coloak – That makes sense because right now the plugin displays only articles with a status of “Live”. Since sticky was added the plugin hasn’t been updated. It’ll have to be something for the next release.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

OK, I’ll have to check that out.

The rss_suparchive date based archive should be the first plugin I update for 4.0

The rss_suparchive_bycat plugin will follow.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] rss_suparchive - article archive list

I just installed 0.15.1 by hacking the download path from 0.15 and I still have the same problem.

The divs close fine if no categories match and there is no output but if one of the articles doesn’t have a category assigned thats when it gets borked.
