Has anyone figured out the mystery of zem_contact_secret? It’s not in the plugin code. Anyone come up with anything?

I just installed the latest version of this plugin and discovered during testing that quotations and ampersands are written as " and & in the message of the email that is sent instead of “ and &. I have searched in this forum and on the net for a chunk of code to fix this with no luck. (I am not a PHP guru – only HTML and CSS). Does anyone know of a fix for this?

For example, if I type the following into the textarea field of the form:

You must read the book called “Great Expectations.”

I get this in the body of the email when it is delivered:

You must read the book called "Great Expectations."

I hope someone can help with this. Thank you!
