Re: disable 404?

What happens with jakob’s suggestion to have the (uncommented i.e., no # at the beginning) ErrorDocument above the Textpattern rewrite block?

I’m going to come back to this but thank you both very much for bearing with me – when I had it working it broke everything else. So I deleted it. I had .htaccess in both /textpattern/ directory and /extremist/ – I rolled back everything to where it worked.

I’ve just fiddled with the /extremist/ .htaccess and tried it above, inside and below the “IfModule mod_rewrite.c” block. This block has “RewriteEngine On” and I thought that might matter. But this did nothing and didn’t break anything. Neither did putting .htaccess below /textpattern/ again, and I thought I set the right permissions. So clearly the website gods aren’t playing anymore – probably been tweaking too many hrs today so have tunnel vision. Will try again when am fresher and post back here :)
