I cannot see any reports for your email address so we don’t have much to look at on our side. Have you raised this issue with your email provider?

The e-mail address works. There is no spam in the spam folder. I also tried it with two different addresses.

I try now 3 emails on the forum. The last is a Gmail adress. Email change in the forum is always OK. Email subscription don’t work. Since the last change (to Gmail address), I must get 2 subscriptions mails. Nothing in the inbox, and nothing in the spam.

I don’t know if it is related, but on a new 4.6 installation, e-mails are not sent. On previous installation on the same server, all is fine.
Have you checked if our mails are not in banned listings ???

Regarding the general issue of mail going missing, I’ve never liked companies deciding on my behalf what is and isn’t received in my inbox. Hotmail, Gmail, Rocketmail, iCloud, they ALL do some kind of pre-screening which means legitimate mail often gets eaten without even a sniff of notification that it happened.
You’ve only got to look at the number of times posting a simple form to a website triggers some anti-spam filter to know that hosting companies and online providers don’t have a clue how to effectively avoid false positives.
I’d far rather they leave the decision to me. It’s my inbox: give me an option to receive everything and I’ll decide how to manage it. But they don’t. I haven’t seen a “your message was undeliverable” email in Hotmail for over five years and I know for a fact that some messages I’ve sent have been blocked from that account or never arrived at my intended recipient. But they made a policy that they’d silently swallow them to cut down on distributed mail with fake return addresses.
Whether this is what is happening in your (and other) cases I can’t say. It does seem like the forum address is one some kind of blacklist somewhere due to the number of problems people have, but I don’t know why changing forum account would make any difference unless somehow the combination of your account name and the forum address tripped some filter causing all messages to be incorrectly flagged as objectionable.
Bottom line: I’d love to find out why.

According to my own (past) problems the email address is part of it all: You can’t have two accounts here with the same address. And then it’s the email providers’ spam filter making the difference. Might be some other provider that jpdupont selected.
I’d recommend to everyone with subscription problems to change the email address (with a different provider) used for their forum account. Again :]
