I love site_url. It’s like 10x better than writing the PHP equivalent, and a great tag to help beginners feel like they’re making progress in templating without getting into contexts just yet.

I hear you. I guess I just always assume, in whatever CMS I’m using, that index.php is my base from which all relative paths are derived.
