Basically, as a Brit you shouldn’t trust these fancy metric things at all. Why else would they have invented the trusty imperial units after all?

Hehe, I reckon it was to keep the amateurs out. After all, why use nice round numbers when 63360 inches fit so snugly into a mile :-p
Besides, 111 120 000 Metres Under The Sea by Jules Verne doesn’t have the same ring to it.

I installed with US English only, so are the strings missing from it? And if so, how to fix this?

Please post the date your site show on the Admin> Preferences > Update Languages tab. It should read July 7th, 2011 or later.
