Re: smd_user_manager: keep large user bases under control
Hi,
I have txp 4.8.8 and smd_user_manager 0.3.0 in an otherwise completely fresh install under php 8.2.11 (tried with 8.1 as well).
And I run into the same issue:
as admin I can reset passwords only for some of my users.
I tried it with two own user/mail-combinations and one worked, the other failed – which is obscure because both are hosted at the same hosting service and are configured the same way.
the mails are
schlierbach@saccade.de (which worked, green message and mail sent)
and
schlierbach@schriftbildwort.de (which didn’t work, no green message, no mail)
best regards!

Hmm, that’s weird. Have you switched your site to debugging mode to see if it spits out anything useful?
Can’t think why one would just do nothing.

Re: smd_user_manager: keep large user bases under control
Hi, sorry, I have been busy.
Yes I have, nothing related has been spit, I tried that before I made that post above.
But meanwhile I figured out that despite me being ignored as the admin, the other user which hasn’t been reset on my initiative could easily reset on his own. But that makes it only more weird :)

Well, yes and no. Changing your own password is via a form on its own page and it gets altered immediately. Changing someone else’s password requires an email round trip via the multi edit.

Re: smd_user_manager: keep large user bases under control
Hi Stef
if i use the tag
<txp:authors group="somegroup" break="," />
with a group created by the plugin i got nothing but if i use the integer value of the group it works!
is this how it should be ?
Cheers.
