Re: bot_admin_tooltips

Thanks redbot, its working perfect now, it wasnt a cache issue, it was a plugin, but I will have to make some tests and see what plugin caused it.
If I find out I will let you know
thanks again for this great plugin!

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

Hi rebot,

This issue was fixed in bot_wtc but not in bot_admin_tooltips.

Uh? Really? I can’t check now and in the next few days. As soon as possible I’ll have a look ok?
Thank you for reporting jelle

No prob. A quick workaround is adding a customfield as it only happens when there are no custom fields present in the database.

Thanks again for your work on these great plugins. It helped me to quicky build a great backend for a project.

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

New release: v0.4

malarino and aswihart,
shame on me.
Regarding this problem you were absolutely right,
It took very long before I finally understood. The fact is I overlooked that the issue was showing only after login.
Anyway v.04 should fix it.

Other changes:

  • plugin preferences are no more showing in the “basic preferences” tab
  • fixed this problem when having less than 2 cfs
  • better escaping of tooltips text
  • other minor fixes

See first post for download

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

Hey redbot – Thanks for these plugins I’ve just gotten round to trying this one and bot_write_tab_customize : wowza!

Well, here’s the bad news: after a few click the tooltips don’t come back at full opacity.
the outermost q-tip wrapper opacity property doesn’t come back on to 1. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Thanks again.

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

Hi Jan,
unfortunately I can’t be of much help here.
Althought I can’t experience this issue, It has to do with the jquery code (as you know this plugin uses qtips). IIRC similar problems were pointed out in the qtips forum.
Anyway, have you tried to change some settings and see if the issue persists? what happens if you set “Show tip on hover”?
Another thing you can try is to change the plugins load order.
If I have a better idea I’ll let you know.

Edit:
I forgot to say a new version of qtips should be out soon. This probably will solve your problem.
When the new version will be out I’ll update bot_admin_tooltips.

Edit2:
Have a look a this qtips forum post, maybe can help

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

Hmmm I don’t understand that line of Jquery? shouldn’t he be passing in a map of css properties —since he’s using .css({}) — in that method? I can’t get his fixes through the YUI compressor. Meh, It’s no big deal, I’ll just wait for the new version.

I did try enabling hover BTW. bot_wtc is seriously sweet.
Thanks!

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

This looks like a great plugin (I’m already a huge fan of bot_wtc) but it isn’t working for me. I uploaded the qtips file to the default “/js/” directory and I’ve installed the plugin per usual. I can customize everything under Extensions just fine. In fact I’ve written five tooltips already, but none of them show up whether the hover option is ticked or not. Any ideas?

Hi Matthew,
sorry if I didn’t answer before, I completely missed your post.
I need a few infos to understand where the problem is.
1) which txp and jquery version are you using?
2) does the plugin output jquery code in the ‘write’ tab? (just examine the page html and search for ‘qtip’ )

Re: bot_admin_tooltips

1) Latest txp (4.2.0) and I believe it’s the latest jQuery as well. I am using a gzipped jQuery file if that makes any difference.

2) Definitely. In fact I can see the tooltips I’ve written in the page source for the “write” tab.
