If you don’t figure it out (can’t help you with that), you can uncomment this line in .htaccess:

#php_value register_globals 0

I can do what now? Does “uncomment” mean delete? Delete that line? Or make the 0 into a 1?

All right, turns out the upgrade was easy, with Godaddy: just a click of a button from 4.x to 5.2.5.

The line is commeted out. # at the start of the line means that it is comment. By removing it becomes actual line of code and sets the value.

But as you updated your PHP version, all should (or might) be okay.
