it works like that for me for thmbnails, but i guess you mean for cropping?

It sounds like what I asked about a few days ago.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

Anyone else have additional thoughts? I’m really not seeing the benefit of merging crop/resize into one tab for the main images. If someone could convince me otherwise, I might make it function similarly to that of the thumbnail tab.

It’s not essential for me, but it would be quite convenient. I guess I’d vote for it, depending on the effort involved in implementing

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

ok sorry now I see the function is allready exist in the Thumbnail tab

but there are 2 ‘bugs’:

1.
when I choose a custom size from the list in the Thumbnail tab,
the selection is changing to that size, but the Thumbnail Dimensions: are not.
and if I choose a custom size of 400×300, it will resize it to 100×100 proportionally
and that is not good for us, because I want 400×300 and I did mark the Resize Thumbnail & Lock Aspect Ratio checkboxes.
so I think what you need to do Eric is if the checkbox of Resize Thumbnail is allready marked or if it is not and then I mark it,
then the Thumbnail Dimensions: will be automatically change to the custom size I choosen from the list
with no need to type the numbers again.

2.
in IE8 you can’t move or stretch or do anything with the selection LOL
so if you on IE8 (like me) you must click on the small button near the refresh & stop buttons – name: Compatibility View
and only then you can do anything with the selection

and I think we all agree that mr.igner had a tough day ;)
(we all respect Eric very much [like daaa…] , I just asked a question and didn’t whip him [not into S&M lol])

and if you will add that function to the Crop tab of the original image
it will give us a way to have “2” Thumbnails like (with no original, but still 2 custom size images cuts)

You have to install it first. This is covered in the help file and in this message archive : http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?pid=204070#p204070

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

Hi,

I am getting an error with this plugin and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. When i go to restore a back up, I get this warning as a js popup box:

Error : <pre>A problem occured while loading the plugin: <b>ebl-image-edit</b> -> <b>Warning: copy(/..filepath) [<a href=‘function.copy’>function.copy</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory on line 725</b></pre>

any ideas?

thanks!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

I think cropping and resizing is essential. Smart Image Resizer does a wonderful job of this.

An example of why you wanted to do this: Create a portfolio menu of larger images cropped to a 1:1 ratio square. The image that a category is called from may be 2:3 but when displayed on a page it would show up 1:1 like the rest of the images.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

Can it crop and resize at the same time? Sorry, I haven’t used it yet. I just found out about it.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0

All that is answered in this thread. But to summarize:

  1. It crops.
  2. It resizes.
  3. It rotates.
  4. It thumbnails.
  5. It makes waffles.
