darinlang – that’s Safari’s Web Inspector (Network panel).

It’s not at all difficult, it’s from the “Show Network Timeline” found under the “Develop” item in the Safari Toolbar. “Develop” is enabled by clicking the requisite option box in Safari’s preferences. It has a number of useful facilities. It’s almost identical in both Mac and Windows versions of Safari.

There is a similar timeline facility in the Firefox Firebug add on, it’s not as pretty but does at least as as good a job.

Re: jQuery and CSS Loading Order Problem in Safari

Joe – Thanks so much for bringing this up. I’m experiencing the same issue with a jQuery plugin I’m developing. Up until I read this post, I figured it was something I was doing with in the script itself. I’ll chime in if I find any solution.

Re: jQuery and CSS Loading Order Problem in Safari

I have been having this problem in Safari with Kwicks also.

I found that including the $(document).ready(function() piece of javascript in a separate ‘.js’ include file fixed the problem 99% of the time.

Re: jQuery and CSS Loading Order Problem in Safari

Hello Mark – Sad to learn you are having this difficulty. We made it almost disappear too but knowing that it might occur at the most inopportune times was too difficult to bear. However, since the upgrade to PHP 5 from 4 all remains well. What PHP version are you using as a matter of interest?
