OK, sorry for the delay. Since Xmas is approaching, and since I’ve wasted time trying to sign-up for a Dropcash account we should consider making New Year presents (also, not everyone here’s a fan of Jesus Christ/Santa Claus, and rightfully so).
If you trust handing the money to a guy like me, here are the… let’s call them rules: ;)
- we collect donations until December 31st
- I’ll update the post with each donor’s name (unless they prefer otherwise)
- if devs have an on-line wish list I’ll buy stuff from that list, otherwise I’ll ask each dev what they would like to receive
- on January 1st I’ll split the total amount collected in three (we have three devs) and proceed with the purchases on Amazon.uk or any other e-retailer of choice
- if I won’t be able to spend all the money collected in gifts, I’ll send the remaining amount directly to the devs’ PayPal accounts.
That’s it. Any other idea/suggestion/correction?

Thanks everyone. Lee: nice idea to send the donation as “gift”, I guess. In this way no PayPal fees! :)

Just edited the first post in order to reflect the total amount raised so far. I was hoping to beat the record amount raised by Alexandra a few years ago. Just four days left, hurry up! :)

How do I send a paypal donation/gift?
All I can see is Goods, eBay Items and Services/Other.

jelle – On the “Send Money” page, just above where you see the “Goods, Services and eBay Items” options, you should see 2 tabs, one for “Purchase” and one for “Personal”. Selecting “Personal” should give you more options to choose from.
If you don’t see those tabs it is probably, as Jonathan says, something to do with different types of Paypal account.

Thats probably the case here then. Strange….anyway…I’be used “other” as payment. Hope that’s ok.
