Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

mono, are you sure you correctly set the $path_to_txp variable? There shouldn’t be a trailing, an example would be like /home/virtual/site65/fst/var/www/html/textpattern

If this is correctly set it will load up your TXP config file and then include publish and the other nessecary files.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

all seems to be working, but it doesn’t create thumbnails. Instead of that it generates the picture in full size. What could be the problem?

thank you, Jebus!

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

I’d be grateful if anyone can help me with page/album navigation, as I just can’t get it to work properly. The test page is here: http://copshop.definitiondesign.com/gallery/

Album list: as an example, if I set the ‘albums per page’ setting to 2, and yet I have 5 albums, I obviously need some way of outputting “You are viewing albums x and x out of a total of x albums”, with ‘previous’ and ‘next’ links to navigate to them. I’ve tried ap_prev_page and ap_next_page in a variety of ways but with no success. If I use them on the page, I get a PHP error:

Warning: extract() expects first argument to be an array in /home/design-0/public_html/staging/copshop/cms/publish.php(767) : eval()’d code on line 850 Warning: extract() expects first argument to be an array in /home/design-0/public_html/staging/copshop/cms/publish.php(767) : eval()’d code on line 827

If I use them in a form, nothing is output at all. At the moment, if there are more albums than are set to view on one page there is no way of navigating to the older ones at all.

Can anyone tell me exactly what code I need to use, and exactly where to put it? Thanks ever so much.

Less importantly, I also have 2 similar problems with navigation in the 2 other forms, again I’d appreciate any help.

Album image: I’ve got previous and next working here ok, but how do I output ‘You are viewing image x of a total of x’ in the whole album?

Album single: if there are more images to show than is set in ‘images per page’ in preferences, again how do I have navigation with an indication of ‘You are viewing 5 out of a total of 20 images’, with links to view the next 5?

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

greenrift, there is no trailing backslash at all, and it in fact finds the config file, but then I get the error when it tries to find the publish.php file.

Would anyone find use out of having a coppermine integration plug-in?

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Hi greenrift!

I got everything working now. The only problem was that I had to manually install the plugin. Should that be installed automatically or is it expected the the user do that manually? If it is supposed to be done manually, could that be added to the documentation, or at least a note that if it doesn’t show up, you can install it manually.

It’s really a great piece of software. Thank you!

It’s activated automatically, but not installed. I should just make it install automatically as well.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

dkruitbosch,

I just had the same problem. The issue for me was that it was looking for IMG01.jpg, when the actual filename was IMG01.JPG, the only difference being that ‘jpg’ was capitalized. I changed the filename to IMG01.jpg and it worked great. Hope that helps!

I figured that out also. Greenrift is already on it. For now we all have to be aware to upload images with a .jpg extension and not a .JPG extention.

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

Album Pattern help needed!

Hi I’m trying to set-up albumpattern: I’ve followed all the steps in the documentation, and I’ve read through all the forums, but can’t seem to solve my problem.

Problem is: I can’t get the thumbnails to show up on my photo gallery page which is…
http://www.ogphotography.com/photogallery

Can anyone help? Many thanks!

Re: Plugin/Hack: Albumpattern

vibe9,

it seems like something is wrong with your folders. /photogallery should point to a list of galleries (rather than a gallery itself). Every gallery should be in its own folder under /images/ and photos should simply files within those folders. I’m not sure how you would fix it other than to reinstall.

Delete all images (all images used in your galleries) and galleries from within textpattern. Then go into your database and delete the album table, as well as any entries under the section ‘photogallery’ within the ‘textpattern’ table (if there still are any). Go into your /images/ folder and make sure you don’t still have any images or folders left (other than static images that you use for the rest of the site). Then upload albumpattern_install.php (or albumpattern_sql.php if you’re still on TR3), edit the 2 config strings at the beginning of the file, run it and make sure you’re not getting any php error messages.

One more question — you’re not creating a separate gallery for each image, are you? Hope that helps!
