Re: Opportunity to gently tweak TXP logo

You will find some new versions of the new logo there that might fit your needs better.
Also, feel free to provide your own interpretations of the logo (like, for example, Maxvoltar did on a former version of his blog) or just use the color you need on the black png files.

i.e. just have fun :)

Re: Opportunity to gently tweak TXP logo

I resume this ancient post to ask the community her opinion about the TXP logo’s font replacement.
I like belipe’s image and I think that a new font could help the Textpattern brand freshness.
I think that the font used in the upcoming 007 Spectre movie could match wel (at least for big size)l: what to you think?

There are many graphic artists in the community: according to them what font could become the new official TXP one? BTW, what is the current one?

Re: Opportunity to gently tweak TXP logo

It’s PT Serif. I’m personally happy with that font as it gives a good balance between traditional and modern which suits the brand (and we use it as a web font here on the forum too). So any font change would have to have a compelling reason.

to ask the community her opinion

I love that you refer to the community as her. Like a prized wood sailing boat.. er something. Els will probably tell me I failed again. In any case, I’m going to adopt that.

As for typeface changes. I remember all the time and effort that went into just the discussion of Belipe’s logo changes, let alone brand identity planning. And we haven’t even got to seeing the .com work of art yet (no pressure, Phil), though we have been fortunate for this forum refresh.

I, for one, think it’s a conversation for some bored space in the distant future.

What? Have I ever done such a thing? Don’t remember ;-)
Anyway, I wouldn’t have the time for it as I’m desperately trying to catch up / keep up with everything being discussed over here lately. Which I find very interesting!

It was a while ago, in G+. You were ribbing me about a response I gave to some topic I don’t even remember. But you made it clear I “failed”. In fact, you’re words were, “I was testing you, you failed.” To which I replied something like, “That’s me, always failing.” Which is more or less true.
