Would be good if you could post on the plugin forum thread too for other users…
You don’t have to, I will merge this topic with the plugin thread.

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
It’s just: the more topics are opend de-centralised, the harder it’ll get for people to follow advice and comments on the yab plugin topic once a moderator merged all the splinters. And there’s another yab topic opened just today.

Hi progre55,
Hopeing someone can assist —- everything is working fine with plug in with the connection to Paypal — but it is not sending out the email to the admin or buyer —- I am using Textpattern CMS (v4.5.4) — is there something I can look at to see why —- I have tried multiple email addresses with no success —-
when Paypal is used as payment method, the plugin will not send an email, because the plugin has no knowledge of the payment process. So when a buyer decides to cancel the order on the paypal site, the plugin should not send an affirmation email about a successful order.
It’s the Paypal’s job to send the affirmation email on a successfully finished order.
The plugin could send an affirmation email when it has the Paypal IPN implemented. But only Stefs version 0.9 of the plugin has the IPN support this time.

Trenc:
Thanks for the reply. I should have realized since you have quoted yourself numerous times on this same issue :)
I actually modified the plug in using code I found in the thread and it is working great. I think I just forgot in the past that I had done this.
I do have a second question.
Once cart is sent to Paypal — I would like the user to be taken to the Thank You Page — right now it opens up the Paypal window and their site is no longer available. I know that I can have Paypal redirect after a succesful transaction — but I want to keep their site open —- my thought — if possible is —- is having the Paypal page open in a seperate window? or Having two Thank You Pages —

Hmm, sorry but this seems impossible to me with the current method of sending the cart.

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Which is the most recent version of this plugin working with 4.4.1?

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hm, plugin version 0.8.1 has some bugfixes and additional ui improvements for an usage in Textpattern 4.5.x.
So maybe 0.8.0 is your choice. But you can try 0.8.1 (remember the bugfixes) if you don’t care about possible UI clutter in the language and preference settings window.

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Thanks, Tommy. So the version(s?) on Github aren’t recommended for use in 441, I assume?

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
My Gihub repo contains the most recent version of the plugins. But they are not compiled and sometimes they are not fully released and in beta status.
But all the plugins should work with 4.4.1. But, as mentionded, expect some admin UI weirdness of yab_shop 0.8.1 in Textpattern 4.4.1.
