Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hi Philipp,
the source file is included in the downloaded zip of the plugin.
It’s not recomended to set a onchange-attributes, because they are not XHTML valid. Try instead a unobstrusive method, f.i. with jQuery!
A documentation and examples you can found at the jQuery documentation.

Hi Hynek,
sorry aditional shipping costs are not supported this time. But maybe the the »Special Shipping Costs« (it’s product related) is what you are looking for.

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hi there
I’ve been using your Plugin for quite some time, now I’ve relocated to a new Server and upgraded to the lates version. On my local MAMP build everything works perfect, but on the live site I can’t seem to checkout, meaning I can add products to the cart and my details etc. but when I finish and click send I get a weird error with the #yab-shop-checkout-anchor attached to the URL. No email gets sent either way (customer and myself) althou all is identical in the setting?
Anyone got an idea what I can further check?
The shop is at shop.individua.ch (just add anything + test in the remarks it won’t be processed) :-)
Thanks in advance and really love the Plugin!

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hey!
I’m new to Paypal,
Can you please help me out for how to get and set all of the Paypal info?
1. Paypal certificate ID
2. Path to Paypal certificate (absolute)
3. Name of the public Paypal certificate
4. Name of your public certificate
5. Name of your private key
I don’t understand where and what are all of these.
I do have a business account and I created an API access
(Option 2 – Request API credentials to create your own API username and password.)
So now I have an API Username, API Password, and I download it as “cert_key_pem.txt”
what next please? or I even not in the right way?

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hi Gil,
you don’t need an API access.
I’ve wrote tiny howto setup paypal here, here and in the plugin help.

Hi trenc
That is cause I removed it to the old host! I thought it was because the new host ran PHP 5.2.9 and not latest version 5.2.11, but even after that upgrade it didn’t work?
You can try my test setup on the host under: testshop.mauricenaef.ch
I really can’t think of why it’s not working under this host?
If you want a peak at the backend, let me know ill p.m. you logindetails..
thanks for the help anyway.. regards Marcel
just tested it again on the new server and it now seems to work! Maybee it needed some time to change on the new server and I was to impatitiant?
Anyway ill leave it as it is…. sorry for the confusion, but maybee it can help someone else so I just left the old commet there!

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
I don’t know if this has been asked here before…
I have products that have multiple prices within one product set and the price depends on amount of packages (e.g. badges, that are sold in larger amounts):
1 package (100 pcs) – costing 100 USD, 2-3 packages – costing 80 USD, 5+ packages – 60 USD…
So, what I see is – there’s a drop down select nav where you can choose a package that suits the most.
Can this be done?
One product with multiple choices of price.
Excuse my poor english here.

From the plugin info page:
And how do I input prices for a property?
Note: You can only assign one property with a price. |
First go in yab_shop_config and change the use_property_prices to ‘1’. |
Input the Prices:
If you want use a property price you must give an price in your price field (custom field) even so. You can use it as an base price.
Now you can give prices to the properties in one property field (custom field). Use double minus as delimter between property and price. E.g for the property field color: |
red; white—2,50; black—12,00; green—0,55 |
The properties with no price declaration will use the base price of the price field (custom field). The first property price should be the same as the base price. That’s all!

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Thanks a lot!
Don’t know how did I miss that :)
But I did find smth interesting here.
Demo shop link
So, there are options (“Kogused”), packages, to choose from. More you choose, less it costs.
In custom field I have following:
100 tk; 1 pakk—1000; 2 pakki—900; 3-4 pakki—800; 500 tk; 1pk—3000; 1000 tk; 1 pk—5900; 2-3 pk—5500; 4-9 pk—5000; 10+ pk—4900;
What I discovered was that when I leave options with the same name, e.g. “1 pakk—1000;” and “1 pakk—3000;” then the price will be taken for the first option. The words meaning the package (in my language it’s “pakk” and “pk” is for short) has to be different.
So, after seeing this I had to change options:
1 pakk; 1pk; 1 pk;
In english it would be: 1 package; 1 pack; 1 pck; etc.
Strange thing or what?

Re: yab_shop (simple textpattern shop with paypal support)
Hi ricoschette,
Strange thing or what?
No, not really. If you think about it: You separate properties by the same name, that’s strange. :)
You group different properties in one select field, but the shop will recognize the properties by name. So, of course, you must have different names for different properties.
I would perfer something as property name:
- 100 tk – 1 pakk
- 100 tk – 2 pakk
- 100 tk – 3-4 pakk
- […]
- 1000 tk – 1 pakk
- 1000 tk – 2-3 pakk
- 1000 tk – 4-9 pakk
- 1000 tk – +10 pakk
The advandage of these names is, that you don’t have to delimit the groups with something like »////////«. The possible disadvandage: The custom field is limited by 255 Bytes, so mybe it’s to small. But you can you can change the size in phpmyadmin.
