Re: How do I disable automatic thumbnail creation?

When you go to add an image, are the thumbnail size boxes pre-filled with anything?
Yes, it shows the width value I last used when creating the thumbnail manually.
I think I’ve figured it out though.
I’ve been following wet’s advice and that apparently stopped working with 4.0.5, I think.
If I fill in both values they are remembered and the next image I upload has its thumbnail generated automatically. Sadly that’s little better than no thumbnail at all since it distorts all images with a different aspect ratio, meaining you need to manually rebuild them.
Is this a know bug and shall I move this discussion elsewhere?
Thanks for any help!

It’s not known to me. :) I’ll try and track down/fix both these problems later tonight.

This is weird: I tried again this time with a clean, local install of txp and it’s working now. That is to say, it remembers the value and creates thumbnails just fine even when only filling in either the width or height.
I’m clueless; maybe sleep is what’s needed. :-)
However I can confirm that it’s impossible to prevent the thumbnails from being generated. Using either ‘0’ or no value has no effect.
Not that I’m complaining, rather the opposite. ;-)
