Re: Huge Query Causing Server Load Problems - Host disabled database
Are you saying that the upcoming 4.0.6 won’t require one to either add a space or notextile.
to avoid said problems?
It has been quite frustrating for me explaining to users why out of a sudden they needed to prefix tags, when that wasn’t necessary in 4.0.3.

No, I’m saying that the textile in version 4.0.6 fixes some bugs that were recently found. Not necessarily behaviour changes that occurred long ago.

Re: Huge Query Causing Server Load Problems - Host disabled database
I contacted Rob Sable about my situation but haven’t heard back yet, so I am wondering if someone could take a look at the plugin code to see where the huge query problem may be. I will be willing to pay someone to look into this and fix it. (I would need an estimate first though. :o)) Once again, I can’t upgrade Textpattern or the plugin. I already tried and it broke some things – in particular, the new rss_unlimited plugin code won’t read the parent categories anymore so some of my category lists disappeared when I tried that. Also, the huge query problem was still there anyway. So I basically just want someone to look at the plugin code I am currently using and try to see where the huge query problem may be. Thank you! (It’s too much code to put in this post, so I would need to send the code to whoever wants to look at it.)

I’m willing to take a look and see if I can fix it (send me an email)… how much is this worth to you?
I would have to take a look not only at the plugin code, but also at how it is used on your website and be able to get information from tag traces.
