Re: lam_browse_by (browse by category of articles/images/files in backend)

Dude!

Simple, very useful plug in.
Used to frustrate me how you couldn’t do this, though I didn’t fully understand why I was frustrated until I see, now, how the interface can be managed differently.

Re: lam_browse_by (browse by category of articles/images/files in backend)

Steve,

could the plugin be modified to display its Browse by selects inline with the built-in search form and not stacked vertically?

I tried to modify the plugin’s code and added some css, but the best I could achieve was both selects aligning to the left of the window but still underneath the standard search form.

To clarify, this is what I’ve tried…

in the plugins code:

$(".search-form").after(\'<span class="lamform">'.trim($lam_browse_by_form).'</span>\');';

and the css:

span.lamform form {
     display: inline;
}

Cheers Martin

Correct, and when I click on the lam_browse_by.txt [6KB] link I get a 404 not found

Apparently none of Steve’s plugins are available any longer – I wonder what’s up with that.

Re: lam_browse_by (browse by category of articles/images/files in backend)

Is there a way to have the section and category lists side by side horizontally instead of vertically beneath each other?

See my earlier post
I’m afraid Steve has abandoned his plugins.

Martin, not sure if he’s abandoned them, however, he’s not been around (here or at xpattern) since late March, which is unusual as he is a profilic poster. Hope he’s simply enjoying himself on a sunny island somewhere. At any rate, Steve’s plugins seem to be back online.

Re: lam_browse_by (browse by category of articles/images/files in backend)

I love this plugin but have two problems.

The images dropdown doesn’t display with jbx_multiple_image_upload active.

And it would be good to use category titles instead of names as i often put numbers and stuff in the names to sort them.

Any chance of fixes?
