Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Are you using a caching proxy server by any chance? If so, try adding ?something
to the URL (assuming you use clean URLs and it doesn’t already have a query string) to bypass proxy caching.

Tried from home machine with FF 3.6.8. Works as it should.

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Isn’t it a problem of missing “www.” ?
If you use a “http://mydomain.com” url for login and a “http://www.mydomain.com” url in txp preferences, that will maybe cause problems.
I can see you use “http://7cstudio.fi/” url in your profile, maybe a bad habit… ;-)

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Hi Ruud
rvm_privilieged is not reading me as logged in (Safari or Opera).
I’m on a multi-site install, with the admin as a subdomain (domain.com & admin.domain.com)
When I check the cookie is shows that the domain setting txp_login and txp_login_public is the subdomain (admin.domain.com)
1. Am I correct in assuming this is the cause for rvm_privileged not recognizing me as logged in when at domain.com/section
2. If so, any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks
Mike

1. yes.
2. access the admin through the normal (non-subdomain) way.

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Help! Firstly, thank you Ruud, this plug-in is SO useful. I have used this plug-in working on a number of sites and they all work fine. But now… I have copied one site and created a new site. Initially it works fine, just like the original site. But when the user info is edited ( a user deleted or a passwrod changed) rvm_if_privileged stops working. Tried ‘debugging’ the site and this came up:
<txp:rvm_if_privileged>
[<txp:rvm_if_privileged>: false]
</txp:rvm_if_privileged>
I noticed it when i first created the site, i deleted a user and then the “edit” link dissapeared. So i re-exported the whole thing and left the user section alone. But then the site user forgot his password, requested the site send him a new password and – bam – the edit link dissapeared.
Editing this site without rvm_if_privileged = major pain. Any ideas anyone?

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Sorry, forgot to test on IE8. Just tried it on IE8 and the link appears! But on Mac FF 3.6.16 it doesn’t, nor Safari. And just for this site!

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
AND it works on Shiira AND Opera! I suppose that’s a workaround, but it’s still pretty weird.

Try removing browser cache and relevant cookies.

Never tried, but could it be a deleting cache/cookies issue with those browsers? I suppose you’ve already tried, I’m just guessing.

Re: rvm_privileged v0.4
Tried that. Tried again. No joy. Using Shriia and it’s working. Maybe FF4 will make a difference? I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the SQL database being altered, but I don’t know enough about that to go messing around in there.
