Re: wfCart session-based shopping cart with PayPal Checkout

Gocom:

You are correct. I used bad forum protocal.

I was just asking more for information purposes, not for lets start a discussion here on this site about another app. :-)

I will inquire on the other forum for more details so I can get a clear understanding of what it is, where it is going, and to gage my interest.

Thanks.

Re: wfCart session-based shopping cart with PayPal Checkout

I’ve been working on getting TextCommerce to work with PayPal.

I had it working on a txp 4.0.5 install – with a few catches.
A) The shopping cart was simply sending a lump sum total to PayPal for checkout (and also could send the shopper’s name, address, etc.). Acceptable, but not as powerful as we’d like.
B) While attempting to get TextCommerce to deliver an itemized list of products to PayPal – with sizes and colors specified so that the shopper could review all the details of their purchase within PayPal itself, I needed to upgrade to 4.0.6 to get the latest glz_custom_fields to work.
C) I have now lost the TextCommerce tab, and can’t seem to get it back – despite trying to add the “add_privs” statement. TextCommerce actually adds a new tab – not in the extensions pane but in its own location between “content” and “presentation” – with multiple subtabs, so the instructions listed on the TXP Forum don’t apply in a straightforward enough way for me to implement. I would love some help in figuring this out.

Once the above issue is resolved, I’m envisioning tying mem_self_register in with the customer side of TextCommerce, and then having one heck of a happy eCommerce plugin suite.
