Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

Ok, this is going to sound crazy, but I installed an admin theme for 4.0.6 that I hacked a little and now I don’t recall which one it is.

This is a screen shot, I hope someone can identify it…

Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

typeshige, I think that was one by phillipe (phiw13) but can’t find it off hand. You might want to search for “admin facelift” on the forum and then trawl the relevant threads.

Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

I created another theme, after being still unsatisfied with previous trials. My aim was to do a CSS only theme, and try not to use any images whatsoever. In the end, I used only one gradient to give it some illusion of depth. Other fixes include:

  • setting all type to Helvetica/Arial
  • beige background so all text fields pop out a bit more
  • using CSS rounded corners – looks good in Firefox and Webkit browsers
  • Much like typeshige’s version, those “view more” links look like buttons

Download links and more screenshots right here . I also created a blue version, since most people aren’t keen on the beige.

Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

I used some of the themes from Nemorange found in the first post. They looked great. Until I realized that it didn’t work so well when the MLP pack was installed. The MLP pack has several subtabs such as Articles/Plugins/Snippets/Wizzards and those tabs wouldn’t appear with certain admin themes such as #3

All

Here’s the theme from a site I’m working on now with branding changed.

This one is MLP compatible (mostly).

Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

Which are the passages to adapt these admin themes to Txp 4.0.8? In other words, which are the differences between 4.0.6 and 4.0.8 page template? Are they many or there are few cosmetic issues? I have to adapt a nemoorange’s theme but I don’t want to start a work over my knowledge.

Re: [contrib] different textpattern admin themes

Can’t speak specifically for 4.08 (haven’t tried it yet) but usually differences are quite minimal. 4.0.6 to 4.07, for example, i don’t remember there being any changes to be done in styling.
