Hi,
I think you are more likely to receive answers in rah_textile_bar thread. Anyway, I remember this is possible with hak_tinymce.

Re: glz_custom_fields
I am very much enjoying using the plugin. Thx so much.
But i have noticed a few things that have got me puzzeled.
1. One thing i noticed is when i decided to reset one of the fields; in my case a field that i designated to position 2. I then created a new position 2 thinking that the old (empty pos 2) would be overwritten. It wasn’t and still exists above the new pos 2? Everything seems to work but for a table that should auto increment i found that particular. Is it ok?
2. Are the glz_custom_fields settings cached anywhere in the system? I ask this because i have been changing the values form lowercase to camelcase and then to hypenated words and sometimes the output for certain value got stuck on one of the previous string patterns?? I cleared the browser cache, checked on other computers, and even went into myphpadmin and checked the values… but everything was set to the new values?? In the end i just reset the custom_field, entered the select values and went through EVERY article again reselecting the appropriate values. After that all was well??? What do you think caused that?

Re: glz_custom_fields
Hi Gerhard,
<3 your plugin — it’s just SO useful.
Do you know if there is a safe/preferred way for me to get a specific date format out of the date picker?
I want: Mon 4 Oct 2010
and the default javascript is giving me 04/10/2010
.
If there’s no current option for this then now sweat, I can live without it. Or if you think I should, I am happy to mod the plugin but would like to do it in the cleanest/most supported way.
Any comments most appreciated.
Cheers, -Alan

Looks like you can assign this to a custom field. It uses jQuery UI which seems to have more control over date formatting where Kelvin’s jQuery plugin does not. I think that glz_custom_fields is fine and that it’s plugins need work. A plugin’s plugins.
Let you know how I fair with it as I dive in to mess up my Write screen.

Re: glz_custom_fields
Is there a way to make a hierarchical display of values in a glz_custom_fields select / multi-select box? That would be a great feature if it’s not already possible.

Re: glz_custom_fields
I got a site with 76 custom fields (yes)
and this is the error I’m getting trying to create more:
Warning: Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 65535. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs ALTER TABLE `textpattern` ADD `custom_77` VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT '' in /html/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 85
Can you please tell me what should I do?

It’s not possible out of the box, but you can always roll your own custom field type. Check the custom-script example file that comes with the latest v1.2.4. After unpacking the plugin, look for the my-images.php
file.

Sorry mate, that’s a MySQL limitation, nothing I can do about it without having to rewrite the plugin…
