Okay, here is my default form:

and nothing comes up for comments at all… what could be wrong?

I have them turned on, but still get the message “Commenting is closed for this article”… no matter what…

When you say “turned them on”, do you mean the setting in Preferences? If so, that only determines what the default for new articles is. You have to go to the individual article (Write tab) and turn them on (or you can use the multi-edit feature of the Articles tab).

Now how do I use a separate style for my comment form?
