well since i last posted in this thread it’s become quite apparent to me that txp rules for my needs. i still can’t get a basic site running in drupal. although i’m sure it’s awesome once you can get it working.

someone could probably clarify this better, but i think Drupal and TXP are both Content Management Systems, but things like CakePHP are frameworks which you can use to build similar projects but with more control.
